On Thursday, September 16, premiere of the theatre play „Set the smile free“ was held in the National theatre Tuzla. The premiere was seen by about 70 pupils and teachers of high and primary Schools from Tuzla Canton. The theatre paly is a part of the project „Innovative minds for smart ICT schools“ or abbreviated title „Smart schools 2“.
Within the project, energy reconstruction of 18 schools from Tuzla Canton shall be done. Their stoves utilizing fossil fuels shall be replaced by the stoves utilizing biomass/pellet as a fuel. However, in addition to infrastructure works, the project has other objectives and results.
One of the project objectives is to educate the High and Primary school students about the topics that the project addresses, including energy efficiency, use of renewable energy and rational energy consumption. The theatre play that was organised today is one of the activities that would bring closer the mentioned topics to our students. The aim of the play is to encourage student, in a creative and entertaining way, to change their behaviour and think more about energy consumption, renewable energy sources and other topics related to energy. Although the theatre play primarily aims the primary school students, it shall surely be interesting to high school students and adults as well.
The theatre play „Set the smile free“ is a part of the project „Innovative minds for smart ICT schools“ or abbreviated title „Smart schools 2“. It is 3,6 million KM worth project. Major part of the project is funded with EFRR and IPA II funds of the European Union (85%), within INTERREG IPA cross border cooperation programme Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Monte Negro 2014-2020. The project is implemented by the Centre for Development and Support CRP Tuzla as lead partner, with the project partners from Tuzla Canton and Brod-Posavina County from Croatia.
