„Innovative minds for smart energy“ is a competition of young innovators from Tuzla Canton and Brod-Posavina County. The aim of the competition is to promote young innovators in development of their innovations related to the use of renewable energy sources and increase of energy efficiency. 37 innovations were submitted for this competition. Solar sun umbrella, indicator for open window, temperature and humidity in classroom, sun surveillance system, self-propelled mower … are only some of the innovative ideas presented to the expert selection committee. The committee members talked to each innovator and through presentation of their innovations introduced better with the candidates and their idea.
Twenty competitors whom the committee awarded the highest scores (10 from Tuzla Canton and 10 from Brod-Posavina County (CRO) shall win the awards. At the seven-day camp to be held in the second half of June 2018 in Brod-Posavina Country, the young innovators shall be able to develop their innovations through practical work. All innovations shall be exhibited at the festivals of young innovators to be held in March 2019 in Brod-Posavina Country (CRO) and in April 2019 in Tuzla Canton (BIH).
The competition is implemented within INTERREG CBC project, Innovative Minds for Smart Schools – SMART SCHOOLS, funded by the European Union. The project is implemented by the Centre for Development and Support (CRP) in partnership with the government of Tuzla Canton, government of Brod-Posavina Country, association Green Action from Zagreb and Brod Ecological Society (BED) from Slavonski Brod.
